Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Village Council of Riverlea, Ohio, passed on the 29th day of July, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 4th day of November, 2025 the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, for the benefit of the Village of Riverlea for the purpose of current expenses.
Tax being a replacement of part of an existing levy, being a reduction of 1 mills, to constitute a tax of 4.5 mills at a rate not exceeding 4.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $158 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value, for 5 years.
The estimated annual collections of this levy is $188,593.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on election day.
