Public Hearing Notice
In accordance with provisions of MGL Chpt. 40A, Sec. 5, the Raynham Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at Raynham Veterans’ Memorial Town Hall, 558 South Main St., Raynham, MA, to consider the following proposed amendments to the Town of Raynham Zoning By-laws (“Zoning By-laws”):
Amend the Zoning By-laws by deleting in its entirety the section of the by-laws entitled “§ 350-6.15. Associate member of Planning Board, as had been voted in Article 33 at the Annual Town Meeting of May 16, 2022;
Amend the Zoning By-laws to rename the Board of Selectmen as the Select Board by striking out, in every instance in which the words “Board of Selectmen" and “Selectmen” appear and inserting in place thereof the words “Select Board”; and further to authorize that non-substantive, ministerial revisions be made to ensure that any gender references in the related text of the Zoning By-laws are revised to properly reflect such change in title;
Amend the section of the Zoning By-laws entitled “§ 350-6.15. Associate member of Planning Board.” by deleting the entirety of § 350-6.15, excepting only the title, and replacing with the following:
A. Associate member of the Planning Board. The associate Planning Board member shall be elected every two years at the annual town election, beginning with the next annual town election. The Chair of the Planning Board must designate the associate member to sit on the Board for the purposes of acting on a special permit application or site plan approval, in the case of absence, inability to act, or conflict of interest on the part of any member of the Planning Board or in the event of a vacancy on the Board.
B. Term of associate member. The term of the position shall be two years. Any vacancy in the position shall be filled at the next annual town election for a two-year term;

Any person wishing to be heard or interested in the proposed amendments should appear at the time and place designated. A complete copy of the Town of Raynham Zoning By-laws and the proposed amendments may be viewed at Raynham Town Clerk’s office, 558 South Main St., during regular office hours.
