NOTICE TO TOWN OF LANSING RESIDENTS OF PUBLIC HEARING UPON PROPOSED 2026 TOWN OF LANSING ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND PRELIMINARY BUDGET PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held upon Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 6:32 pm, in person at 29 Auburn Road, Lansing, NY. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2026 preliminary budget of the Town of Lansing for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026, including general Town funds, highway and public works funds, fire protection funds, and assorted district funds, has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Lansing, 29 Auburn Road, Lansing, New York 14882, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours; and PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE for the purpose of hearing comments or objections upon such preliminary budget, including such changes, alterations and revisions as shall have been made therein by the Town Board of the Town of Lansing, and at such hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any item or items therein contained; and PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the following are the proposed 2026 salaries of certain Town Officers of the Town of Lansing: (i) Supervisor $30,306.12; (ii) Councilperson (4), each $9,741.00, total $38,964.00; (iii) Town Clerk $91,492.12; (iv) Highway Superintendent $126,413.87; and (v) Town Justice (2), each $23,948.60, total $47,897.20. Citizens have the right to provide written and oral comments and ask questions concerning the entire budget and the relationships of entitlement funds to the entire budget, and at such public hearing the Town Board will receive public comment and take statements, testimony, and evidence from all persons interested in the subject hereof and concerning the same, and the Town Board may or will take such other action thereupon as is required or permitted by law. All residents of the Town and the general public are invited to attend this public hearing. Mobility impaired and similarly situate citizens or senior citizens who require assistance in attending said public hearing, or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned Town Clerk to request such assistance.
