ORDINANCE NO. 10-2025 ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 95 OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF RIVERDALE AND AMENDING THE CONDITIONS AND FEES FOR THE RENTAL OF THE SENIOR COMMUNITY CENTER NOW, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Riverdale, in the County of Morris and State of New Jersey, as follows: Section 1. Chapter 95 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Borough of Riverdale, "Fees", shall be amended by the following amendment to Section 95-18 which shall be retitled "Fees for the use of the Senior Community Center" and shall read, in its entity, as follows 95-18 Fees for the use of the Senior Community Center The use of the Senior Community Center shall be subject to the following Event Fees. The use of the Senior Community Center by a private group, organization, or individual shall be limited to residents of the Borough of Riverdale. Applicants must be present during the entire duration of the event. Rental days/hours (based on availability) and fees: Private Rentals: Saturday and Sunday Only (10:00am-6:00pm) Security Deposit: $500.00 Resident Fee - private event: $400.00 Employee Rate: $250.00 Chaperone Fee: $25.00 per hour (4-hour min) Civic Organizations: Monday-Friday (8:00am – 10:00pm) Event Fee: $250.00 (waived with proof of nonprofit organization) Insurance Requirement: Certificate of Insurance (Required listing the Borough of Riverdale as additional insured) Proof of Residency: Driver's license required. Section 2. If any section or provision of this Ordinance shall be held invalid in any Court of competent jurisdiction, the same shall not affect the other sections or provisions of this Ordinance, except so far as the section or provision so declared invalid shall be inseparable from the remainder or any portion thereof. Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances which are inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately after final passage and publication in the manner provided by law. NOTICE OF PENDING ORDINANCE The ordinance published herewith was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the governing body of the Borough of Riverdale, a municipal corporation of the State of New Jersey, held on October 22, 2025. It will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the governing body to be held at Borough Hall, in the Borough on November 24, 2025 at 7:30 o'clock p.m., and during the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of said ordinance will be made available at the Clerk's office to the members of the general public who shall request the same.
