NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DES MOINES ON THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED AUTHORIZATION OF A LEASE IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF NOT TO EXCEED $273,000, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING CERTAIN ITEMS OF EQUIPMENT CONSISTING OF THREE MOTOR GRADERS, THREE WHEEL LOADERS AND THREE SNOWPLOWS PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on November 17, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 400 Robert D. Ray Drive, Des Moines, Iowa at which meeting the City Council proposes to take additional action for the authorization of a Lease Agreement in the principal amount of not to exceed $273,000, the proceeds of which will be used in order to provide funds to pay the costs of acquiring certain items of equipment consisting of three motor graders, three wheel loaders, and three snow plows for the wheel loaders for use in conjunction with City operations. Principal and interest on the Lease Agreement will be payable from the general fund of the City. At the above meeting, the City Council shall receive oral or written objections from any resident or property owner of the City to the above action. Any person or organization desiring to submit written objections may direct such written material to the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 400 Robert D. Ray Drive, Des Moines, Iowa 50309, prior to 4:00 p.m. on November 17, 2025. After all objections have been received and considered, the City Council will at this meeting or at any adjournment thereof, take additional action for the authorization of said Lease Agreement or will abandon the proposal.
