Call for Proposals (CFP)
Public EV Charging Stations along I-25, I-40, I-10,
US 285, US 60, US 70 and US 380
The NMDOT is soliciting proposals for consideration and support for the planning, deployment, operation, maintenance, and management of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations along seven (7) US Routes, I-25, I-40, I-10, US 285, US 60, US 70 and US 380. This project is funded through National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Phase Two funding and NMDOT and Awardee must comply with all federal regulations. The federal funding will offset up to 80% of the costs for new charging stations, upgrades to existing stations and other related expenses. The Awarded Applicant will be required to implement a reliable program which will enable the public to utilize direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations on a 24-hour/365 days per year basis, with sufficient resources and personnel to successfully support, maintain and sustain the NEVI Formula Program. Proposed sites must have at least four (4) 150 kilowatts (kW) DCFC stations with combined charging systems (CCS) ports, capable of simultaneously DC charging for four (4) EVs.

Electronic RFPs must be submitted in PDF format no later than 5:00 P.M. MDT, December 31, 2025. Proposals shall be submitted to the NMDOT electronically via submittal to Special.Projects@dot.nm.gov. RFPs submitted by hard copy or facsimile will not be accepted. RFP shall be valid for 60 days and is subject to all action by the NMDOT. NMDOT reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in part or in whole.
