Integrated Security Automation Systems Upgrades for the Marathon County Jail and Juvenile Facility
The Marathon County Facilities and Capital Management Department is requesting proposals from qualified firms to upgrade the integrated security automation systems at the Marathon County Jail and Juvenile Facility. The current systems are at the end of their service life and need to be upgraded.
Interested firms may obtain instructions and specifications beginning November 5, 2025, from the Marathon County Facilities and Capital Management Department, 1000 Lakeview Dr Ste 300, Wausau, WI 54403 (715-261-6980) or on the Marathon County website at http://www.marathoncounty.gov.
Scope of WorkProvide all materials, labor, expertise, all equipment, and required insurance to update the integrated security automation systems at the Marathon County Jail located at 500 Forest Street, Wausau, WI 54403 and Juvenile Facility located at 7025 Packer Drive, Wausau WI 54401.Time and Place for Receiving Proposals: Marathon County will accept proposals from qualified firms in the Facilities and Capital Management Dept. office.

Proposals received after 2:00 p.m. will not be accepted. Actual receipt by said time is required and deposit in the U.S. mail is insufficient. The envelope containing the sealed Bid shall bear the name and address of the interested firm and the notation "Integrated Security Automation Systems Upgrade for the Marathon County Jail and Juvenile Facility" on the outside of the envelope.
Mandatory Walk-through: Wednesday, November 12, 2025. A walk through of the facilities is scheduled for Wednesday 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the site to review site conditions and discuss any questions about the RFP. We will meet at the main west entrance of the Courthouse located at 500 Forest Street, Wausau, WI 54403. This is a mandatory walk through.
Reservations: Marathon County reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any and all proposals, to waive any informalities, and to accept the bids determined to be in the best interest of the County. This invitation may be canceled if determined to be in the best interest of the County.
Ethics: The General Code of the County of Marathon contains various procurement policies which are applicable to this proposed procurement. These include prohibitions against gratuities and kickbacks. This request is governed by the Marathon County Procurement Code, a copy of which is available at the County Clerk's office in the Courthouse.
