PUBLIC NOTICE BOROUGH OF ROCKLEIGH 2025-66 RESOLUTION AWARDING A ONE YEAR CONTRACT FOR THE YEAR OF 2026 FOR THIRD PARTY ELEVATOR INSPECTION SERVICES TO NEW JERSEY TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC. WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq., and the Uniform Construction Code, N.J.S.A. 52:27D-124, permit a municipality to enter into a contract with a private agency for on-site inspection services, including elevator subcode services; and WHEREAS, the Borough is in receipt of a draft Agreement from New Jersey Technical Services Inc. ("the Contractor") entitled, "2026 Contract For Third Party Elevator Inspection Services" ("the Contract"); and WHEREAS, the Borough will be paid the cost for the inspection by the building owner, with the Borough in turn remitting payment to the Contractor, provided that the Borough is entitled to charge an administrative fee; and WHEREAS, the Borough has determined to charge an administrative fee of twenty (20%) percent. WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available for such purpose and are provided for in Trust Fund Account No. 02-0311-02. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Rockleigh that Mayor James Pontone and Borough Clerk Marcella Giampiccolo be and are hereby authorized to execute the aforesaid Contract on behalf of the Borough.
