NOTICE OF HEARING ON FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL
LOCAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 40
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the final assessment roll for Local Utility District No. 40 (“LUD No. 40”), established for the purpose of construction of water facilities in Kitsap County as ordered by Resolution No. 25-11-10H of Public Utility District No. 1 of Kitsap County, Washington (the “District”), has been prepared as required by law and is on file and open to inspection at the office of the Secretary of the Commission of the District, 1431 Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo, Washington.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Commission of the District has fixed the time for the hearing upon the final assessment roll for 12:20 p.m., local time, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the District’s Office, 1431 Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo, Washington.
Any person desiring to object to any assessment appearing on the final assessment roll for LUD No. 40 is notified to make all objections in writing and to file them with the Secretary of the Commission of the District on or before 12:20 p.m. on December 9, 2025. All objections must state clearly the grounds of the objections and should contain lot, block and addition, section, tax number, or other identifying description of the property.
At the time and place fixed, and at such other times to which the hearing may be adjourned, the Commission will sit as a board of equalization for the purpose of considering objections duly filed, together with all information and evidence in support of those objections that may be presented, and for the purpose of considering such assessment roll. At the hearing, or adjournment thereof, the Commission may correct, revise, raise, lower, change or modify the roll or any part thereof, or set aside the roll and order a new assessment. Following the hearing, the Commission will confirm the assessment roll by resolution. When property has been entered originally upon the roll, and the assessment thereon is not raised, no objection shall be considered by the Commission or by any court on appeal unless the objection is made in writing and filed with the Secretary of the Commission of the District as of the date and time described above.
