Town of Lansing Board Vacancies
The Town of Lansing is currently accepting applications for the following vacancies:
• Planning Board: one 7-year term and two 1-year terms (Alternates). The Planning Board is charged with reviewing land use and development issues and approving subdivisions, site plans, and special permit requests. Meetings are generally held at 6:30pm on the fourth Monday of the month.
• Zoning Board of Appeals: one 5-year term and one 1-year term (Alternate). The Zoning Board of Appeals is a quasi-judicial public body of appointed members that considers requests for relief from or interpretation of the Town's Zoning Code. The Zoning Board of Appeals has two functions: review of applications of use or area variances and rendering interpretations made by the Town's Zoning Enforcement Officer. Meetings are generally held at 6:30pm on the second Wednesday of the month.
• Conservation Advisory Council (CAC): five 2-year terms. The CAC advises in the development, management, and protection of its natural and scenic resources. The council engages both the Town Board and Planning Board to make sure our community's environmental concerns are heard. Meetings are generally held at 6:30pm on the first Thursday of the month.
Applicants must be 18 years old and a Town of Lansing resident. Terms will begin on January 1, 2026. Deadline for Applications is November 24, 2025.
