DOCKET NO. 483-2025-D
PUBLIC NOTICE
TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE CODY OPERATING, INC. - ALLISON-SYKES-WELCH NO. 1 WELL LOCATED ON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED 40-ACRE OIL UNIT: THE NE1/4 OF THE SW1/4 OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 4 EAST, MERIT FIELD, SIMPSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, CONTAINING 40 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.
Please take notice that beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in the hearing room, Suite E, 500 Greymont Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi, the State Oil and Gas Board will hear the Petition of Cody Operating, Inc. for authority to reform the existing 40-acre oil unit for its Allison-Sykes-Welch No. 1 Well to the following described 80-acre oil unit:
PROPOSED 80-ACRE OIL UNIT
The North Half of the SW/4 of Section 17, Township 1 North, Range 4 East, Merit Field, Simpson County, Mississippi, containing 80 acres, more or less.
Petitioner proposes to re-enter, workover and complete the Well to increase production and for further development of the Paluxy formation. The proposed 80-acre unit and the resulting well location on the proposed unit will be an exception to Statewide Rules and Regulations. The proposed 80-acre unit appears to be underlain by sufficient acreage of the Paluxy formation such that the Well should be granted a full allowable for production. Petitioner is also requesting the integration of all interests, with alternate risk charges assessed to non-consenting owners identified in the Petition, in the above-described 80-acre unit.
A copy of said Petition is on file in the offices of the State Oil and Gas Board and may be there examined by any persons interested. At said hearing, all interested persons may appear and be heard.
If you intend to contest the docket or request a continuance, you must notify the Board and the Petitioner's attorney of your intention in writing not later than 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Failure to so notify the Board and the Petitioner's attorney shall be a waiver of your right to contest or request continuance.
You are advised the Board may adopt orders concerning a petition that may differ from the relief requested by the Petitioner and Board will enter such order or orders as in its judgment may be appropriate in accordance with the evidence presented.
DATED, this the 14th day of November 2025.
