NOTICE OF CONDEMNATION PUBLIC HEARING
A Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Pineville City Hall, in the Council Chambers at 910 Main Street, Pineville, Louisiana at 5:00 pm.
This Public Hearing is in accordance with Louisiana Revised Statutes 33:4762 et seq, the City of Pineville “shall serve notice on the owner of the building or structure requiring him to show cause at a meeting of the governing authority, regular or special, why the building or structure should not be condemned.” Anyone wishing to comment on the condemnation and possible subsequent demolition of these structures is invited to attend.
Properties and ownership interest include: 110 Anderson Street, 510 Baptist Street, 130 Buchanan Street, 1413 Donahue Ferry Road, 207 Dorothy Street, 105 Hoffman Street, 113 Holly Oak Street, 115 Holly Oak Street, 112 Lizzie Street, 204 Madison Street, 1607 Melrose Street, 108 Wood Street, 110 Wood Street, 112 Wood Street and 606 Sanders Street.
The properties listed are reported to be severely dilapidated and a risk to the health and well-being of the community. Further, the structure’s conditions are reported to be in violation of the 2015 International Property Maintenance Code. If condemned, the properties, in accordance with the State Statutes, LA R.S. 33:4761, 4765, and 4766 (removal of Dangerous Structures), shall be demolished and the lots cleared of debris. Liens will be placed against each property for all associated expenses incurred by the City.
If a decision of condemnation for the structure is made, this publication shall also serve as notice for owners to remove all possessions and belongings within thirty (30) days from the date of the Condemnation Hearing decision. Contact City Hall at (318) 449-5660 for questions.
