NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING AMENDMENT OF THE ANTRIM TOWNSHIP ZONING CHAPTER AND MAP
Please take notice that the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors shall be holding a public hearing in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act of 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as amended. The purpose of the hearing shall be to gather public comments concerning the proposed amendment to the Antrim Township Zoning Chapter and Map. The public hearing shall be held on January 27, 2026 at approximately 7:00 PM, at the Township office building located at 10655 Antrim Church Rd., Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. The Board intends on considering enactment of the proposed amendment after the public hearing during a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board to be held at the Township office building.
Please take further notice that copies of the proposed amendment may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof from the Township Secretary at the Township office building. The summary of the Ordinance Amendment is set forth below:
The ordinance contains “Whereas” paragraphs providing the reasons and legal authority for enacting the ordinance.
Section 1. Amends Chapter 150-4 entitled “Definitions” by defining Battery Energy Storage Systems and Data Centers.
Section 2. Amends Chapter 150-6 entitled “Zoning Map” by changing ten (10) parcels containing approximately 104 combined acres from Highway Commercial to Industrial Zoning. The parcels being changed are 01-0A22.-224.-EX0000, 01-0A22.-036F-000000, 01-0A22.-036E-000000, 01-0A22.-038A-000000, 01-0A22.-056.-EX0000, 01-0A22.-036G-EX0000 (in part), 01-0A22.-036.-000000 (in part), and 01-0A22.-036B-000000 and are located on the West side of Molly Pitcher Highway just North of Conservancy Lane. Parcels 01-0A22.-034.-000000 and 01-0A22.-112A-000000 are located on the East side of Molly Pitcher Highway across from Commerce Avenue.
Section 3. Amends Chapter 150-26 entitled “Permitted uses” for Highway Commercial by deleting Warehousing and Distributions Center and Wholesale business facilities in its entirety.
Section 4. Amends Chapter 150-31 entitled “Conditional Uses.” For the Industrial Zoning District by adding Battery Energy Storage Systems and Data Center.
Sections 5, 6, and 7. Contains effective date, repealer, savings and severability provisions.
