OFFICIAL NOTICE   BEFORE THE UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF IOWA TO THE CITIZENS OF STORY COUNTY:   Notice is given that Central Iowa Power Cooperative, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 478, has filed a petition with the Iowa Utilities Commission (IUC) for extension of franchise to maintain and operate an electric transmission line setting forth the following as the maximum voltage, starting points, routes, and termini of the existing line:   EXHIBIT A (1 of 2) 69,000 VOLT NOMINAL (72,500 VOLT MAXIMUM) ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINE And 161,000 VOLT NOMINAL (169,000 VOLT MAXIMUM) 69,000 VOLT NOMINAL (72,500 VOLT MAXIMUM) DOUBLE CIRCUIT ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINE STORY COUNTY, IOWA   The East Endpoint is an interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest LLC transmission line located in the north public right-of-way of State Highway 210 and approximately Nine (0.09) hundredths east of the South Quarter Corner of Section Twenty-eight (28), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa. The East Terminus is an ITC Midwest owned substation located in the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Fifteen (15), Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-two (22) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa.   The West Endpoint is the Easterly Corporate Limits of Huxley, Iowa (West Endpoint) and near the Southeast Quarter Corner of Section Thirty (30), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa. The West Terminus is an ITC Midwest LLC Substation located in the Huxley, Iowa Corporate Limits.   69,000 VOLT NOMINAL (72,500 VOLT MAXIMUM)   Beginning at an interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest LLC transmission line (East Endpoint) located in the north public right-of-way of State Highway 210 and approximately Nine (0.09) hundredths east of the South Quarter Corner of Section Twenty-eight (28), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa; thence westerly in the north public right-of-way of State Highway 210 and along the south line of said Section Twenty-eight (28) and Section Twenty-nine (29) crossing 580th and 585th Avenues to a point located in said north public right-of-way at the easterly Corporate Limits of Huxley, Iowa (West Endpoint) and near the Southeast Quarter Corner of Section Thirty (30), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa, approximately One and Sixty-one (1.61) hundredths miles.   The total distance of this 69kV single circuit portion of line, subject to franchise, is approximately One and Sixty-one hundredths (1.61) miles.   And,   The East Endpoint is an interconnection with an existing CIPCO transmission line located at the Corporate Limits of Huxley in the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Thirty (30), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa. The East Terminus is a MidAmerican Energy Co. owned substation located in Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Two (2), Township Seventy-nine (79) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West in the city of Bondurant, Iowa.   The West End Point is interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest transmission line located in the south public right-of-way of State Highway 210 near the North Quarter Corner of Section Thirty-five (35), Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-four (24) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa. The West Terminus is an ITC Midwest LLC Substation located in the Huxley, Iowa Corporate Limits.   DOUBLE CIRCUIT - 161,000 VOLT NOMINAL (169,000 VOLT MAXIMUM) and 69,000 VOLT NOMINAL (72,500 VOLT MAXIMUM)   Beginning in the north public right-of-way of State Highway 210 at the Corporate Limits of Huxley, Iowa and in the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Thirty (30), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa; thence westerly in the north public right-of-way of State Highway 210 to a point in said public right-of-way to a point located in the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southwest Quarter (1/4) of said Section Thirty (30), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West approximately Six (0.06) hundredths of a mile; thence southwesterly crossing State Highway 210 to a point in the south public right-of-way located approximately Three (0.03) hundredths of a mile east of the Northwest Quarter Corner of Section Thirty-One (31), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West approximately Five (0.05) hundredths of a mile; thence westerly in the south public right-of-way of Highway 210 and along the south line of Section Thirty-one (31), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West and Sections Thirty-five (35) and Thirty-six (36), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-four (24) West to an interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest transmission line (West Endpoint) located in the south public right-of-way of State Highway 210 near the North Quarter Corner of Section Thirty-five (35), Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-four (24) West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa, approximately One and Fifty-four (1.54) hundredths miles.   The total distance of this 69kV/161kV double circuit portion line, subject to franchise, is approximately One and Sixty-five hundredths (1.65) miles.   The total distance of the lines subject to franchise and outside of corporate limits is Three and twenty-six hundredths (3.26) miles.   EXHIBIT A (2 of 2) 69,000 VOLT NOMINAL (72,500 VOLT MAXIMUM) ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINE STORY COUNTY, IOWA   The North Endpoint of this line is a connection with an existing ITC Midwest LLC owned transmission line located in public right-of-way near the Southeast Corner of Section Twenty-five (25), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M. in Story County, Iowa. North Terminus of this line is an ITC Midwest LLC owned substation located in the Southwest Quarter (SW¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Fifteen (15) Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-two (22) West of the 5th P.M. in Story County, Iowa.   The South Endpoint/Terminus of this line is a connection with a Consumers Energy owned substation located in the Northwest Quarter (NW ¼) of the Northwest Quarter (NW ¼) of Section Thirty-Six (36), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M. in Story County, Iowa.     Beginning at a point of interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest LLC owned transmission line (North Endpoint) located in the north public right-of-way of State Highway 210 near the Southeast Corner of Section Twenty-five (25), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M. in Story County, Iowa; thence south crossing State Highway 210 in the easterly public right-of-way of 610th Avenue to a point located in the Northwest Quarter (NW ¼) of the Northwest Quarter (NW ¼) of Section Thirty-Six (36), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-three (23) West of the 5th P.M. in Story County, Iowa and an interconnection with a Consumers Energy substation (South Endpoint/Terminus) approximately Twenty-six (0.26) hundredths of a mile.   The total distance of this 69 kV line is approximately Twenty-six (0.26) hundredths of a mile.   A map showing the route of the electric line may be obtained at no cost by calling (319) 734-4313 or by writing to Central Iowa Power Cooperative, Attn: Dan Ketchum, P.O.
