LEGAL NOTICE Request for Proposals   The Kerhonkson Fire District is requesting proposals from qualified independent public accountants or independent public accountants to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, December 31, 2025, December 31, 2026, December 31, 2027, and December 31, 2028. The audit is to be conducted in accordance with the U.S. generally accepted auditing standards and the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.   The following conditions apply to this Request for Proposals (RFP):   There is no express or implied obligation for the District to reimburse responding firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request.   Any inquiries concerning this RFP must be in writing and should be addressed to the Fire District Treasurer, Stacey Kauffman, at Kerhonkson Fire District, P.O. Box 107, Kerhonkson, N.Y. 12446. Inquiries must be postmarked by January 5, 2026. District responses to all inquiries will be distributed to each potential proposer.   To be considered, (3) three copies of a proposal must be received by the Fire District Secretary at Kerhonkson Fire District Secretary, P.O.
