South Dallas County Landfill December 11, 2025 The December meeting of the South Dallas County Landfill was called to order by Chair Shirley K. McAdon at 3:32 p.m. Also present: Mike Fountas and Michael Chadwick. Review and Approve the Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Motion by McAdon to approve the November 12, 2025 meeting minutes. Motion carried. Review and Approve Bills: McAdon asked about sales tax credits due from Waste Management; Chadwick will follow up. Motion by McAdon to approve the bills. Motion carried. Review and Approve Financial Reports: Motion by McAdon to approve the financial reports. Motion carried. Receive Chair's Report: McAdon will present information to staff at a meeting on Friday, December 12, 2025 regarding the transition of landfill operations to the City of Adel. Receive Staff's Reports: DirectorEquipment Status: Fountas reported that the rear axle on the tool cat has been replaced. Fountas also reported that the final drive oil on the dozer has been changed. All other services are up-to-date. Site Status: Fountas reported that winter conditions were early this year. However, with the lower volume of trucks passing through, staff has been able to prep for the early winter weather.Other: Fountas reported that all of the former member settlements have been received. Collections: Chadwick will contact the one company that has a balance in the 61-90 days past-due column. Other Business: None.
