NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING     The City Council of Hopewell, Virginia will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building located at 300 North Main Street, Hopewell, Virginia, 23860, to receive public comments regarding the following item(s): The proposed changes to Sec. 34-30. Rebate of machinery and tools tax for certain businesses located in the enterprise zone. Proposed changes include the following: Extending the rebate program until December 31st, 2029. Amending the rebate from 30% per year for 3 years to 80% in a single year. Full details of proposed changes will be available at the public hearing.   A copy of the proposed ordinance and fee schedule is available for public review at the City Clerk’s Office.
