NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE INTENTION OF THE PETERSBURG CITY COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF NOT TO EXCEED $21,462,462 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF GENERAL OBLIGATION WATER AND SEWER REVENUE BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CITY'S PUBLIC SEWER SYSTEM FACILITIES Notice is hereby given that the Petersburg City Council will hold a public hearing in the Petersburg Public Library located at 201 West Washington Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 , on January 20, 2026, during a regular meeting at 5:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be called on the agenda, concerning a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF UP TO $21,462,462 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF GENERAL OBLIGATION WATER AND SEWER REVENUE BONDS OF THE CITY OF PETERSBURG, VIRGINIA, AND PROVIDING FOR THE FORM, DETAILS AND PAYMENT THEREOF." The maximum amount of the bonds is $21,462,462 and is expected to be used to finance City capital projects including but not limited to the acquisition, construction, equipping and installation of the Poor Creek Force Main Replacement Project. Persons may appear and present their views at the public hearing. A copy of the full text of the resolution is on file in the office of the City Manager at 135 North Union Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 and is available for public inspection during normal business hours.
