REQUEST FOR BIDS Marathon County Jail AHU12 and Chiller Replacement The Marathon County Facilities and Capital Management Department is requesting bids from qualified firms for replacing AHU12 and the Huber chiller at the Marathon County Jail located at 500 Forest Street, Wausau WI, 54403. The current air handler and chiller system is outdated and inefficient. Scope of Work Replacement of AHU12 and the Huber Chiller at the Marathon County Jail. Work includes demolition, electrical, mechanical, roofing, fire suppression, and fire alarm. Plans and Specifications can be found on the Marathon County Website: www.marathoncounty.gov Time and Place for Receiving Bids: Marathon County will accept bids from qualified firms in the Facilities and Capital Management Dept. office. Proposals Due: 2:00PM, February 3, 2026 Marathon County Facilities and Capital Management 1100 Lakeview Drive Suite 800 (Door 23) Wausau, WI 54403 Bids received after 2:00 p.m. will not be accepted. Actual receipt by said time is required and deposit in the U.S. mail is insufficient. The envelope containing the sealed Bid shall bear the name and address of the interested firm and the notation "Marathon County Jail AHU12 and Chiller Replacement" on the outside of the envelope. Walk-through: A walk through the facility is scheduled for January 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at 500 Forest Street, Wausau, 54403. We will meet in the Jail entrance at the northwest corner of the facility. Plans will be available for review during the walk through as well as discuss the areas to be worked in with Marathon County personnel. This is a mandatory walk through. Reservations: Marathon County reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any and all proposals, to waive any informalities, and to accept the bids determined to be in the best interest of the County. This invitation may be canceled if determined to be in the best interest of the County. Ethics: The General Code of the County of Marathon contains various procurement policies which are applicable to this proposed procurement. These include prohibitions against gratuities and kickbacks. This request is governed by the Marathon County Procurement Code, a copy of which is available at the County Clerk's office in the Courthouse.
