LEGAL NOTICE   NOTICE OF COUNTY, TOWN, AND SPECIAL DISTRICT TAX COLLECTION OF COUNTY OF DUTCHESS, TOWN OF DOVER   TAKE NOTICE THAT I, Dina Yeno, Tax Collector of the Town of Dover, County of Dutchess, and State of New York have duly received the Tax Roll and Warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Dover for the year 2026. Collection of taxes will begin upon receipt of bills through February 28th, 2026.   TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that you are strongly urged to pay taxes by mail payable to: Dina Yeno, Tax Collector, and sent to P.O. Box 123, Dover Plains, NY 12522 or online via the town website www.DoverNY.gov. Collection hours for the Month of January will be at the Dover Town Hall, 126 E. Duncan Hill Rd., Dover Plains, NY 12522 on January 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st and 22nd, 27th, 28th and 29th from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Collection hours for the month of February will be at the Dover Town Hall, 126 E. Duncan Hill Rd., Dover Plains, NY 12522 on February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th from 5:30pm – 6:30 pm. Please check the town website for updated information or changes in collection dates or times.   TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before the 28th of February, 2026 without penalty. After February 28th any remaining unpaid taxes starting with the 1st of March, will incur penalty as follows: March 1st through March 31st, 2%; April 1st through April 30th 3%; May 1st through May 31st, 4% (plus a $1.00 2nd notice charge). As of the 2nd of June, all unpaid taxes will be turned over to the Dutchess County Commissioner of Finance, 22 Market Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-3294. *When the last day for collection falls on a weekend or legal holiday, payments post marked the next following business day will be accepted.   Dina Yeno Tax Collector Town of Dover 11977908
