NOTICE OF BID FREEDOM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REPLACE HVAC/DOAS EQUIPMENT IN BLDG. 1 and 2 PROJECT NO. VCS 2648213 Pirtle Construction, the Construction Manager for The School Board of Volusia County, Florida, for the Freedom Elementary School Replacement of HVAC/DOAS Equipment in Bldg. 1 and 2, Project No. 2648213 is soliciting bids from qualified subcontractors and vendors. An Outreach/Pre-Bid Site Visit Meeting is scheduled at the project site on 1/28/2026 at 10:30 AM. A prequalification package is available for interested subcontractors and vendors by emailing preconstruction@pirtleconstruction.com. The project is at 1395 South Blue Lake Avenue, Deltona FL 32724. The project will comprehensively replace the DOAS and related HVAC equipment for buildings 1 and 2 on the campus. The basis of the project will be to remove and replace all of the existing HVAC equipment and associated components of the U/G ductwork and related chilled water piping for the replacement of new DOAS Units and above-ground ductwork. As the existing school will be occupied during construction, the Jessica Lunsford Act will be a requirement for the entire project.
