CITY OF PALM SPRINGS   NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE HISTORIC SITE PRESERVATION BOARD HSPB #175 APPLICATION FOR HISTORIC SITE DESIGNATION OF “THE HAL FORREST RESIDENCE” 608 SOUTH INDIAN TRAIL   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Historic Site Preservation Board (HSPB) of the City of Palm Springs, California, will hold a public hearing at its meeting of February 3, 2026. The HSPB meeting begins at 5:30 p.m., in the Large Conference Room at City Hall, 3200 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs. The purpose of this hearing is to consider an application for historic site designation of the Hal Forrest Residence (APN # 508-152-001) at 608 S. Indian Trail.   ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed historic site designation is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15060(C)(2) (the activity will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment) and 15060(C)(3) (the activity is not a project as defined in Section 15378) of the CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, because it has no potential for resulting in physical changes to the environment, directly or indirectly.   REVIEW OF PROJECT INFORMATION: The proposed historic resources report and related documents are available for public review via email by contacting the project planner: Sarah Yoon, Historic Preservation Officer, at sarah.yoon@palmspringsca.gov.
