The Township of Green Oak Supervisor, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the Township of Green Oak's intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between Marshall Road and Sandy Bottom Lake. The flood hazard revisions are being proposed as part of Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) Case No. 25-05-0960R for a proposed project along Davis Creek. Tom Duncan is proposing to place fill beneath the BFE for the construction of a private road to access the upland portion of his property.
Once the project has been completed, a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) request should be submitted that will, in part, revise the following flood hazards along Davis Creek.
1. The floodway will be revised from the bridge at Marshall Road to a point approximately 1,650 lineal feet upstream along Davis Creek. The floodway will decrease within the revised area.
2. Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) will decrease along Davis Creek.
3. The SFHA will decrease along Davis Creek
Maps and detailed analysis of the revision can be reviewed at the Livingston County Drain Commissioner at 2300 E Grand River Ave. Howell, MI 48843. Interested persons may call Kenneth E. Recker II at 517-546-0040 for additional information from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.
