Invitation to Bid and Advertisement   Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received for the project named below by the City of Crystal Springs, until 2:00 P.M. local time on March 12, 2026, and will be opened and read aloud shortly thereafter.   Location for Receipt of Bids:   Bid for Chautauqua Amphitheater Project Crystal Springs City Hall 210 E Railroad Ave Crystal Springs MS 39059   Plans and Specifications Entitled:   Chautauqua Amphitheater Plans, contract documents and proposal forms are on file for public inspection in the office of the City of Crystal Springs, 210 E. Railroad Ave., Crystal Springs, MS, 39059, and in the office of the Engineer, WGK, Inc., 204 W. Leake Street, Clinton, MS 39056(601-925-4444). All documents required for bidding purposes, including specifications and plans, may be viewed for free at www.wgkengineersprojects.com. Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $75. Hard Copies are also available for ordering online for a non-refundable fee. No bid received after the scheduled time for opening will be considered.   Partial Sets will not be issued   Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute contract and post-Performance Bond in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner.   Bids on the Project must be received on or before the period scheduled for the project and no bid withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the project for a period of forty-five (45) days.   All bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 shall contain on the outside or exterior of the envelope or container of such bid, the contractor's Certificate of Responsibility number issued by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors.   PRE-BID CONFERENCE   A.
