NOTICE OF RESOLUTION 2026-1
RESOLUTION DISCONTINUING PORTION OF BAY SHORE PARK
ACCESS ROAD RIGHT OF WAY
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Green Bay declares that the public interest requires that the former Bay Shore Park access road right of way ought to be discontinued and vacated, being fully described as follows:
Part of Government Lot 4, Section 14, Town 25 North, Range 22 East, Town of Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin described as follows:
That part of the town road described in Volume 677 of Records, Page 583 lying northerly of the north line of Bay Shore Park Road , said line extended northeasterly to the south line of Brown County Bayshore Park as described in Volume 858 of Records, Page 493
WHEREAS, this Resolution was introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Green Bay on February 10, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the notice of the hearing will be published in the Green Bay Press Gazette as a Class III Notice
WHEREAS, more than forty (40) days prior to the hearing, a copy of the said notice will be served upon the owners of all of the frontage of land abutting upon the access road right of way to be vacated,
WHEREAS, a public hearing will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Green Bay on April 21, 2026 at 7:00 pm; and
WHEREAS, if no sufficient written objection to the said discontinuance and vacation of road access has been filed with the Clerk;
NOW THEREFORE, in accordance with the authority vested in the Town Board by Wisconsin Statute 66.296,
BE IT RESOLVED upon completion of the Public Hearing, the Town Board of the Town of Green Bay that the former Bay Shore Park access road right of way, as described above, is vacated and discontinued, in the interest of the public.
The undersigned officials of the Town of Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin hereby certify that:
1. The above and foregoing resolution may be adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Green Bay at a meeting to be held April 21, 2026.
2. A true and correct map showing the location of the vacated road access will be attached hereto and is available for reviewing, but contacting the Clerk of the Town of Green Bay.
3. The resolution will be recorded and filed in the office of the Town Clerk following the 21st day of April, 2026.
