TO: William Healy, of parts unknown, believed to be of Easton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, and all other persons interested:
The Plaintiff(s) has/have filed a Complaint with the Land Court in which you are named as an interested party. This Complaint may be examined at said Court or online at www.masscourts.org.
Louise Chambers of Oakham, Worcester County, Massachusetts and Patrick W. Healy of Chepachet, Rhode Island represent that they hold as a co-tenants an undivided percent or share of the land lying in Easton, Bristol County, Massachusetts being known as and numbered 148 Summer Street, and briefly described as follows: “being lot A-1 on a plan by Kenneth C. Hayward, dated August 16, 1965 recorded with Bristol North District Deeds, Book 1565, Page 1003, bounded and described as follows: NORTHERLY by Summer Street by two lines, one hundred sixty-five and twenty-five hundredths (165.25) feet; EASTERLY by lot A-2 on said plan four hundred sixty-five and fifty-one hundredths (465.51) feet; SOUTHERLY by land now or formerly of Truman, two hundred seventeen and ten hundredths (217.10) feet and WESTERLY by land now or formerly of Truman, four hundred eighty-three and forty-four hundredths (483.44) feet. Containing according to said plan one and ninety-two hundredths (1.92) acres more or less.” Setting forth that they desire that all the described land may be sold at private sale for not less than $500,000.00 and praying that partition may be made of all the land aforesaid according to law, and to that end that a commissioner be appointed to make such partition and be ordered to make sale and conveyance of all, or any part of said land which the Court finds cannot be advantageously divided either at private sale or public auction, and be ordered to distribute the net proceeds thereof.
If you desire to object thereto you or your attorney should file a written response with the Land Court on or before the return day, March 30, 2026, and serve a copy upon the plaintiffs’ attorneys, Henry J. Lane, Esq. of Lane and Hamer, P.C., 100 Main Street, Suite 105, Whitinsville, MA 01588 and Andrew R. Dennington, Esq. of Conn Kavanaugh, One Federal, 15th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
It is ORDERED that notice be given by publishing a copy of this notice once in each week for three successive weeks in The Enterprise, a newspaper published in Brockton, Massachusetts, the last publication to be one day at least before the return date, March 30, 2026.
