LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Zoning Hearing Board of Abington Township (the “Board”) will meet on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., in the Abington Township Municipal Building located at 1176 Old York Road, Abington PA, 19001, to conduct public hearings on the applications listed below, together with any other business coming before the Board, at which time interested citizens may attend and will be given the opportunity to be heard. A virtual option for observing the meeting and hearings will be available. Log-in information will be posted at least 5 days in advance at www.abingtonpa.gov. Any person seeking party status must attend in person.

26-9: Judith Fraser requests a Variance from the Abington Township Zoning Ordinance (the “Ordinance”) §2103.A.Use A-13.2 to install a fence within the front yard setback, higher than four (4) feet, at real property identified as 704 Cottage Rd, in the R-4 Medium-High-Density Residential Zoning District, Ward #12.
26-10: Amanda Ross and Eileen Glaraga request the following relief from the Ordinance to construct additions at real property identified as 2608 Barnes Ave, within the R-4 Medium-High-Density Residential Zoning District, Ward #15:
1. a Variance from Ordinance §602.Figure 6.1 to allow a front porch addition within the front yard setback;
2. a Variance from Ordinance §602.Figure 6.1 to allow a rear addition within the rear yard setback; and
3. Variances from Ordinance §602.Figure 6.1 to allow greater than the maximum impervious surface and less than the required minimum green area.
26-11: Sedudzinam Fugar requests the following relief from the Ordinance for Use A-9C as an Accessory Use, at real property identified as 1377 Rothley Ave, in the R-4 Medium-High-Density Residential Zoning District, Ward #14:
1. a Special Exception pursuant to Ordinance §601.Comprehensive Use Matrix to allow the A-9C Use; and
2. a Variance from parking requirements of Ordinance §2304.A.Use A-9C.
26-12: Darren and Beth Poley request the following relief from the Ordinance to construct an Accessory Dwelling Unit addition at real property identified as 987 Old Huntingdon Pk, within the R-3 Medium-Density Residential Zoning District, Ward #2:
1. a Special Exception pursuant to Ordinance §501.Comprehensive Use Matrix to allow an Accessory Dwelling Unit (“ADU”);
2. Variances from Ordinance §502.Figure 5.1 to allow greater than the maximum impervious area allowed and less than the minimum green area required;
3. a Variance from Ordinance §2103.A.Use A-1.2.c.2 to allow occupancy by a child of the property owners;
4. a Variance from Ordinance §2103.A.Use A-1.2.d.4 to allow the ADU to be constructed within ten (10) feet of the side property line;
5. a Variance from Ordinance §2103.A.Use A-1.3.c to allow the roof pitch of the ADU to not match the principal dwelling;
6. a Variance from Ordinance §2103.A.Use A-13 to allow the construction of a retaining wall greater than six (6) feet high; and
7. a Variance from the Ordinance §2304.A.1 requirement for additional parking space.
