PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the Bylaws of the Town of Upton that the Upton Zoning Board of Appeals will hold the following public hearing on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 6:30 pm – In-person at the Upton Community Center, 9 Milford Street, Upton, MA and via Microsoft Teams.
• Comprehensive Permit – 45 Milford Street, LLC has applied for a Comprehensive Permit pursuant to MGL Chapter 40B for 27-units of Townhouses to be located at 45 Milford St, within the GB Zoning District. Parcel 021-120
• Special Permit – 159 Milford St – Application by Adam Thomson, owners requesting a Special Permit for Light Manufacturing pursuant to Section 300-3.1 Requesting town of Upton’s permission to move existing furniture repair business to this location in Upton within the C&I zoning district. Parcel 025-046.
• Special Permit – 25 Warren St – Application by Arthur Torres of Alpha Home Services Inc, on behalf of the homeowner Katherine Ilse Shallow, requesting a Special Permit pursuant to section 300-3.3D to expand, alter or change a pre-existing nonconforming structure. The applicant is proposing to construct a deck off the rear and side of the existing home, within a SRA zoning district. Parcel 201-022
• Variance – 90 Pleasant St – Application by Mendon-Upton Regional School District requesting a Variance pursuant to MGL Chapter 10 Section 8, and Section 300-4.2 of the Zoning Bylaw. The Applicant is proposing to construct bleacher-seats within the front-yard setback of the property located in the AR zoning district.
• Special Permit – 6-8 Grove St – Application by David Claro, owner, requesting a Special Permit pursuant to Section 300-4.2 note 9 to allow for the construction of a mixed-use building with office space and 5 residential units to exceed 2-stories and 30-feet on a property located within the UCBD zoning district. Parcel 201-059.
• Special Permit – 73 Crockett Rd (A/K/A 74 Crockett Rd) – Application by Kathy Kessel & John Dennis, requesting an amendment to a Special Permit approved pursuant to Section 300-7.6.B(2). The applicant and owner seeks revocation of the approved Special permit pursuant to Chapter 40A Section 14. The property is located within the AR zoning district. Parcel 013-042.
