NOTICE FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Professional Architectural Consultant Services
First Coast Technical College Workforce Training Facility
RFQ2026-024
The St. Johns County School District hereby announces its intention to obtain Professional Architectural Consultant Services for the design and future construction of the First Coast Technical College Workforce Training Center in southwest St. Johns County.
The various services shall include, but not be limited to, the capability to provide: remodeling; renovations; additions; expansions; new construction; technology updates and retrofits; energy updates and retrofits; Department of Education approved grants; energy rebate processing; roofing analysis and design (including re-roofing); and related sitework. These services will be required immediately and will be provided in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, the Florida Department of Education, and the St. Johns County School District. The Board may reuse the plans developed for this project in accordance with F.S. 287-055.
Minimum qualifications for submitting firms are as follows:
• Ten (10) years of professional expertise within the architectural and/or roofing design field.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations governing educational facilities.
• Experience in designing facilities to meet the needs of a growing educational system.
• Experience working with educational leaders to develop innovative concepts to deliver educational systems consistent with the implementation of a strategic plan.
• Completion of similar projects within the St. Johns County area.
• Experience in designing, constructing, or repair and renovation of educational facilities in accordance with Florida Energy Conservation and Sustainable Buildings Act.

All responses (to include 1 manually signed original, 1 photocopy, and a thumb drive of the complete RFQ response in one pdf document) must be sealed in one envelope and clearly marked on the outside: “Response to Request for Qualifications: RFQ2026-024 Professional Architectural Consultant Services for the First Coast Technical College Workforce Training Center”.
Mail or otherwise deliver to: St. Johns County School District, Facilities & Operations, 3740 International Golf Parkway, Suite 200, St. Augustine, FL 32092. All responses must be received on or before 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 6, 2026.
The St. Johns County School Board reserves the right to reject any or all responses, to waive informalities and minor irregularities, and to request resubmission or additional information which is considered to be in the best interest of the School District.
Note: Certain rights are granted to you under Florida Law, and we are required by that law to notify you that if you are going to file a protest that, "Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, or failure to post the bond or other security required by law within the time allowed for filing a bond shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under chapter 120, Florida Statutes."
