Hydrant Flushing Program 2026 LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF SHARON WATER DIVISION Hydrant Flushing & Maintenance Notice   The Town of Sharon Water Division will continue its ongoing hydrant flushing program beginning Monday, March 23, 2026, through Friday, June 12, 2026 (weather permitting).   Flushing will take place Monday through Friday between 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 A.M.   This program is conducted to maintain water quality throughout the Town of Sharon. During flushing operations, residents may experience temporary water discoloration or cloudy water and minor fluctuations in water pressure this is normal and temporary.   If you notice discolored water. Do not run your water while crews are actively working in your area. Wait approximately two (2) hours after crews have left. Run cold water from the faucet closest to your water meter until the water clears. The two-hour waiting period allows sediment stirred up during flushing to settle. Please check your water for discoloration before doing laundry. If clothing becomes stained by the discolored water, Iron Out packets are available at the DPW Office 217 Rear South Main Street Sharon, MA 02067. These packets should remove stains from clothing.   For updated information on which sections of town are being flushed, please visit the Town of Sharon Water Division webpage.
