NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS & APPLICATIONS
CITY OF GARDEN CITY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS / PLANNING COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given that the Garden City Board of Zoning Appeals/Planning Commission will hold public hearings on April 7th, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Garden City City Hall, located at 100 Central Avenue, Garden City, Georgia 31405.
The purpose of the public hearings is to allow public comment on each of the following applications (s) prior to being considered by the Planning Commission and Zoning Board, which shall make recommendations thereon to the Garden City City Council for final action:

Applicant: Garden City, GA
Request: The applicant is requesting approval for a text amendment to the city ordinance to revise the wall and fence code, especially in residential and commercial properties.

Request: The applicant is requesting approval for a text amendment to add apiary to the permitted uses listed in section 90-47.

A public hearing before the Mayor and City Council is scheduled for each application on April 20th, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Garden City City Hall, 100 Central Avenue, Garden City, Georgia 31405.
All persons interested in any of the above-listed matters are invited to attend and comment at the applicable public hearing before the Board of Appeals/Planning Commission and/or the Mayor and City Council. Each application, staff report, and other pertinent materials are available for public review at the Garden City Department of Planning and Zoning, located in City Hall, during regular business hours.
