PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on April 1, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. the Planning Board of the City of Perth Amboy will hold a hearing on the application of Perth Amboy Liquors, LLC. The hearing will be held at the Raritan Bay YMCA, Auditorium, 357 New Brunswick Avenue, Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The premises which are the subject of this application are located on 895 Convery Blvd., Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Said premises are also known as Block 393, Lot 3.02 in the City of Perth Amboy.
The applicant is seeking variance relief for the proposed façade and freestanding sign that will replace the existing façade and freestanding signage. The proposed façade sign will require variance relief for exceeding the permitted sign length, where 20ft is permitted and 30ft is proposed; exceeding the letter height, where 19in/7in is permitted and 40in is proposed. The proposed freestanding sign will require variance relief for exceeding signage area, where 25s.f. is permitted and 54s.f. is proposed.
The applicant also intends to request at the hearing such bulk variance and/or waivers of design standards and/or submission requirements as are required to develop the premises in the manner indicated in the application materials, and any other variances or waivers that the Board may require.
The application for development and all supporting maps, site plans and documents are on file in the office of the Department of Planning and Zoning and is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the City Hall, 260 High Street, Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Any interested party may appear at the aforesaid hearing, either in person, or by their attorney, and be given an opportunity to be heard with respect to the aforesaid application.
