SOMERSET COUNTY VEGETATION AND MOSQUITO CONTROL
PUBLIC NOTICE
In compliance with Section 9.10 & 9.15 of the New Jersey Pesticide Control Code (N.J.A.C. Title 7, Chapter 30) notice is hereby given that the Somerset County Department of Public Works/Road & Bridge Division/Mosquito Extermination Section (SCDPW), P.O. Box 3000, Somerville, NJ 08876-1262, will be applying herbicide for control of Roadside Vegetation & insecticides for the control of adult mosquitos on an area wide basis, as needed throughout Somerset County during the period of March 13, 2026 to December 1, 2026. The Herbicide to be used in the Roadside Vegetation Program will be Accord XRT (Active Ingredient Glyphosate, EPA Reg 62719-556), Pendulum AquaCap (a.i. Pendimethalin EPA Reg 241-416-10404), DuPont Oust Extra (a.i. Sulfometuron methyl EPA num 352-601), Rodeo (a.i. Glyophosate EPA Reg 62719-324) , 41A Drift Retardant (a.i. Polyacrylamide Polymer), Esplanade (a.i. Indaziflam EPA Num 101563-144), and Viewpoint (a.i. Imazapyr, Aminocyclopyrachlor EPA Reg 432-1580) Aqua Neat (Glyphosate EPA Reg 228-365), Roundup custom (Glyphosate isopropylamine EPA Reg 524-343), Aquachem 90 (a.i. Alkyl Phenol ethoxylate), Arborchem (Aliphatic based petroleum oil, alpha-hydro-omega- hydroxpolyoxyethlene esters ), Polaris (a.i. Isopropylamine, Pyridinecarboxylie EPA Reg 228-534), Pathfinder 2 (a.i. Triclopyr EPA Reg 62719-176), Aqua Master (a,i. Glyphosate EPA 524-343), Windsurf Pro (a.i. nonionic surfactant). The insecticide to be used for the control of adult mosquitos will be Duet (a.i. prallethrin, sumithrin, piperonyl butoxide, EPA Reg 1021-1795-8329), AquaDuet (a.i. prallethrin, sumithrin, piperonyl butoxide, EPA Reg 1021-2562-8329), Duet HD (a.i. prallethrin, sumithrin, piperonyl butoxide, EPA Reg 8329-105), Zenivex E4 (a.i. etofenprox EPA Reg 2724-807), Zenivex E20 (a.i. etofenprox EPA Reg 2724-791) or Fyfanon (a.i. malathion EPA Reg 279-3539,). All herbicides are applied by low-pressure sprayer. All insecticides will be applied with truck-mounted, handheld equipment or fixed wing/helicopter for aerial adulticiding.
