The Borough of North East, Erie County, Pennsylvania, hereby gives notice that the Borough Council, prior to a regular monthly meeting on April 6, 2026, commencing at 5:00 p.m. prevailing time at the Borough Hall, 31 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428, will conduct a public hearing on and consider enactment of the Ordinance as set forth below. ORDINANCE NO. 943 -AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH EAST AMENDING ORDINANCE 903, ZONING, TO PROVIDE FOR REGULATION OF TOBACCO STORES/SMOKE SHOPS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH. The Ordinance amends various sections of Ord. 903, Zoning, to include Tobacco Store/Smoke Shops as a Special Exception Use in the C-1 and M-1 Districts and to include regulations for the use. A full copy of the proposed Ordinance is available at the Borough Hall for examination without charge or copies obtainable for a charge not greater than the cost thereof.
