BEFORE THE PHARMACY BOARD OF THE STATE OF IOWA IN THE MATTER OF AKASHA BROWN Registration #: 40999 RESPONDENT CASE NO.: 2025-0136 DIAL NO.: 26DBPB0012 STATEMENT OF MATTERS ASSERTED COMES NOW the Iowa Board of Pharmacy (“Board”), and herein sets forth confidential investigative information in accordance with Iowa Code section 272C.6(4)(a) in support of the Notice of Hearing and Statement of Charges filed in this case: MATTERS ASSERTED It is alleged Respondent engaged in the following conduct: A. Respondent is alleged to have diverted a quantity of two controlled substance medications from the pharmacy inventory of the pharmacy where she was employed as a technician trainee. B. The medications were 168 Alprazolam 2mg tablets and 100 Methylphenidate 40mg ER capsules. C. Video surveillance confirmed that Respondent placed the two bottles into her jacket pocket and left the pharmacy location without returning the bottles to the stock shelves. D.
