PUBLIC NOTICE Please take notice that Haas Sons Inc. has filed an application with the Marathon County Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Department for a Nonmetallic Mining Reclamation Permit to expand an existing permitted mine located in the NW ¼, NE ¼ and NE ¼, NE ¼ Section 25, Township 30 North, Range 4 East, Town of Halsey. The proposal is to expand the existing nonmetallic mine on the above listed property. The expansion will consist of two cells for the purposes of excavating, processing and stockpiling hard rock. As proposed, Cell 2 will be approximately 23.1 acres and Cell 3 will be approximately 20.8 acres. The mine site will be reclaimed to a pond upon completion of mining activities. Any person residing, owning property, or whose principal place of business is within 300 feet of the boundary of the parcel in which the expansion of the existing nonmetallic mining site is proposed, may request a public informational hearing pertaining to the reclamation of the proposed expansion of the existing nonmetallic mine site. Requests for a public informational hearing must be made within 30 days of the publication of this notice.
