TOWN TALK PUBLIC NOTICE AD
At a Town Meeting on March 17, 2026, the Board of Aldermen/AIderwomen of the Town of Boyce introduced an ordinance for publication to call for a special election to allow the citizens of Boyce to vote on whether the Town of Boyce should have a Chief of Police that is "Appointed" by the governing authority (board of aldermen/alderwomen).

TOWN OF BOYCE AN ORDINANCE FOR THE TOWN OF BOYCE TO CALL FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION TO ALLOW THE VOTERS/QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF BOYCE, LOUISIANA, TO VOTE AND DECIDE WHETHER THE TOWN OF BOYCE SHALL HAVE A CHIEF OF POLICE WHOSE APPOINTMENT IS APPROVED BY THE GOVERNING AUTHORITY (BOARD OF ALDERMEN/ALDERWOMEN) OF THE TOWN OF BOYCE, SAID ELECTION CALLED AS AUTHORIZED BY THE LOUISIANA REVISED STATUTES.
The Town of Boyce, Louisiana, shall hold a Public Hearing and a Special Town Meeting on April 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Boyce Town Hall at 807 Londonderry Avenue, Boyce, Louisiana, to discuss the adoption of the preceding ordinance.
