PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
FOR WINDSOR TOWNSHIP
The following is a summary of an ordinance proposed for adoption by the Windsor Township Board of Supervisors, York County, Pennsylvania at a public meeting to be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Township offices located at 1480 Windsor Road, Red Lion, Pennsylvania 17356. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for inspection without charge and copying at a charge no greater than the cost thereof at the Windsor Township Administration Building located at 1480 Windsor Road, Red Lion, Pennsylvania 17356, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., prevailing time.
1. Purpose: The purpose of the ordinance is to restate, supplement and amend but not limited to defining words and terms; requiring connection to the sewage system; regulating the admission of industrial waste, holding tank waste, trucked industrial waste and septage; excluding unacceptable wastes; providing for certain service charges and surcharges; providing procedures for billing and collection; prescribing penalties for delinquencies and violations; and repealing existing sections of said Article inconsistent herewith.
2. Provisions: The ordinance provides Definitions, Discharge of sanitary sewage to public sanitary sewage system required, Admission of industrial wastes, Holding tank wastes, septage and trucked industrial wastes to the public sanitary sewage system, Permitting and Licensing, Unacceptable wastes and discharges, Violation notice, remedies and penalties, Reporting requirements and Fees and surcharges for certain users and industrial wastes.
