CASE 26-10 TEXT AMENDMENT: An amendment to the mailed notice requirements for Sections 12-77 and 12-323 of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) is under consideration. This amendment will require properties owners within 500 feet of subject properties be notified by mail for quasi-judicial hearings and rezoning hearings, respectively. This proposal would expand mailed notices beyond the current requirement of the abutting parcels.
The Board of Commissioners may change the existing zoning classification of the entire area covered by the petition, or any part thereof, without the necessity of withdrawal or modification of the petition or further publication of notice. A list of the permitted uses and proposed map amendment is available during regular business hours in the Cleveland County Planning Department, 980-484-4979.
