PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE Tobyhanna Township Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing at the Tobyhanna Township Municipal Building, 105 Government Center Way, Pocono Pines, PA 18350, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of hearing the following:
APPLICANT Carolyn Dooley of 7746 Lake Shore Drive, Pocono Lake, PA 18347 seeks two (2) separate dimensional variances to replace and reconstruct a single-family dwelling 26 ft. 1 in. x 44 ft. The proposed southeast corner of the new dwelling will continue an existing non-conforming side yard setback of 7 ft. ±, 8 ft. less than the 15 ft. minimum side yard setback for the R-2 district. Applicant also proposes to construct a deck adjoining the southwesterly corner of the proposed dwelling encroaching to within 34 ft. ±, 6 ft. less than the 40 ft. minimum rear yard setback of the R-2 district. The property in question is 7764 Lakeshore Drive, Arrowhead Lakes, also known as Tobyhanna Township Tax Map No. 19.17A.1.98.
APPLICANT Patricia Kroupa of PO Box 804, Blakeslee, PA 18610 seeks a dimensional variance from the 15 ft. side yard setback to maintain a pre-existing deck extending to 7 ft. from the near side yard line in the R2 zoning district. The property in question is improved with a single-family dwelling at 218 Cranberry Drive, Greenwood Acres, also known as Tobyhanna Township Tax Map No. 19.19B.1.79.
APPLICANT Mike Eicher of 407 Scotch Pine Drive, Pocono Summit, PA 18436 seeks a dimensional variance from the 40 ft. minimum rear yard setback to maintain a pre-existing deck built to within 15 ft. of the rear yard line in the R-2 district. The property owner is Hailey Martinelli of 7345 McClellan, Wellington, CO 80544. The property in question is a single-family dwelling at 109 Beartop Run, Pocono Cabin Co., also identified as Tobyhanna Township Tax No. 19.20.2.74-40.
