PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the following persons or institutions have filed an appeal with the City of Erie Zoning Hearing Board pertaining to regulations as set forth in Zoning Ordinance No. 80-2005. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday May 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM in City Council Chambers, 626 State Street, Erie PA at which time and place all interested persons will be heard.
The following appeals will be heard: Appeal No. 13,335 by John Stewart concerning a property located at 430 Cascade St. [17-4032-200] located in an R-2 Medium Density Residential zoning district. The appellant is requesting a Dimensional variance for a proposed ‘One-Family Dwelling’ with a ‘Garage Door’. Appeal No. 13,336 by concerning a property located at 2690 Cherry St [14-1127-202] located in an R-1A Low Density Residential zoning district. The appellant is requesting to Change a Nonconforming Use (personal service - barber shop) to another Nonconforming Use (retail - small convenience store). Appeal No. 13,337 by Dr. Rhonda Mathews, on behalf of Erie’s Black Wall Street concerning a property located at 1616 1618 Parade St. [15-2002-202] located in a C-4 Traditional Neighborhood Commercial zoning district. The appellant is requesting a Use variance for a proposed Mixed Use ‘Office’ and ‘Commercial Recreation’ Use.
