NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS REGARDING DETERMINATION
TO ISSUE 2026 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE METROPOLITAN SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PIKE TOWNSHIP, MARION COUNTY, INDIANA
The taxpayers of the Metropolitan School District of Pike Township, Marion County, Indiana (the "School Corporation"), are hereby notified that on May 14, 2026, the Board of Education of the School Corporation (the "Board") adopted a resolution determining that the School Corporation will issue general obligation bonds of the School Corporation, payable from ad valorem property taxes collected by the School Corporation on all taxable property within the geographical boundaries of the School Corporation, in an original aggregate principal amount not to exceed Six Million Eight Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($6,865,000) (the "2026 General Obligation Bonds") for the purpose of financing the portion of the 2026 Pike High School Learning & Engagement Center Project, as described in detail and defined in the resolution adopted by the Board on May 14, 2026, not funded with funds received by the School Corporation from Lilly Endowment.
The proposed 2026 General Obligation Bonds will have a maximum term ending no later than January 15, 2032, and bear interest at an interest rate or rates not exceeding six percent (6.00%) per annum, the exact rate or rates to be determined by bidding.
