NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS
The Town of Wausau will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for the following project:
WAUSAU CDBG POSSUM PALACE PHASE II
This project consists of the following renovations. Replace the exterior siding on the north, east, and west end of the building, repair/replace leaking roof on the north end of the building, remove the doors on the side of the stage, replace the sliding door in front of the stage with two barn style doors, add a minimum of four (4) commercial/industrial fans, install HVAC, and convert two existing restrooms and two small rooms into two larger meeting rooms on each side of the stage.
Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc., 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes. For questions, please contact Jonathan Sims at (850) 354-5188 or jsims@dewberry.com.
Substantial completion date for this project will be 120 days with final completion 150 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed is presented to the successful bidder.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $1,000.00 per day.
Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, for "Wausau CDBG Possum Palace Phase II".
Bids will be received until 10:00 AM (CST) on June 16, 2026 at the Town of Wausau, 1607 Second Avenue, Wausau, FL 32463 or P.O. Box 39, and will be opened and read aloud on June 16, 2026 at 10:05 AM (CST).
The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.

The Town of Wausau reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.
RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION
Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the City may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
