VILLAGE OF RIDGEFIELD PARK
BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY
Sealed bids will be received by the Village of Ridgefield Park, at the Ridgefield Park Municipal Building in the County of Bergen and State of New Jersey on June 9th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, and then publicly opened and read aloud for:
POLICE DEPARTMENT RENOVATIONS FOR THE VILLAGE OF RIDGEFIELD PARK
MUNICIPAL BUILDING
234 MAIN STREET
RIDGEFIELD PARK, NEW JERSEY 07660
The work to be performed under this contract includes the following:
1. Demolition of walls and equipment.
2. Install new wood and metal stud and gypsum board walls with steel plate.
3. Install new sloped door sill.
4. Two (2) new wood doors in steel frames.
5. V.C.T. and rubber flooring and rubber base.
6. 2 x 2 acoustic tile ceiling and grid system and lights to match adjoining space.
7. Install new electrical wall outlets and switches, exit and emergency lights.
8. Relocate sprinkler heads to meet code.
9. Relocation of existing aluminum and glass windows on new base partition including sealants as required.
10. Removal of aluminum and glass entrance unit.
11. Remove existing electronic and electrical equipment 30 days after new monitoring system is operational.
12. Installation and repair of HVAC and electrical devices as shown on mechanical and electrical drawings.
13. Installation of wiring and for cameras as shown on drawings C-100, C-101, and C-102.
Principal items of work to be performed by owner:
A. Relocation of electrical and electronic equipment for the following:
1. Radio console system.
2. 911 console system.
3. Intercom for cells.
4. School security cameras.
5. Intercom system.
6. Security cameras for the building.
7. Fire alarm system.
8. Alarm system for the building.
9. Evidence room alarm.
The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 90 days from Notice to Proceed.
Copies of plans, specification, and contract documents will be on file for public inspection and may be obtained upon payment of $20.00, said sum not refundable, at the offices of Bilow Garrett Group, Architects and Planners, P.C., 161 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, New Jersey 07660, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. prevailing time, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.
All bidders are recommended to visit the site located at 234 Main St., Ridgefield Park, NJ prior to submission of their bids for the purpose of examining existing conditions at the project site. All bidders who would like to observe the site conditions shall contact Chief Michael Cmielewski at 201-993-2741 to schedule a site visit.
Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted, and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed, and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the Municipal Building Police Department Renovations for the Village of Ridgefield Park.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Federal Department of Labor (Davis- Bacon Act).
All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder.
