NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF THE PARK DISTRICT OF THE TOWN OF WALKERTON, INDIANA, OF THE DECISION TO ISSUE BONDS
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Indiana Code 6-1.1-20-5(a) to the taxpayers of the Park District of the Town of Walkerton, Indiana (the "District") that the Park and Recreation Board of the Town of Walkerton, Indiana, did, on the 11th day of May, 2026, adopt a resolution determining to issue bonds of the District payable from an ad valorem property tax levied upon all of the taxable property in the District, in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed Six Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($685,000) (the "Bonds"), for the purpose of procuring funds to be applied to the cost of the acquisition, construction, installation and equipping of any or all or any portion of the following: new bleachers and foul ball netting at baseball fields, concrete batting cages, main entrance signage, pole barn maintenance shed, decorations for special events, new shrubs and trees, new concession stand window, sod for soccer fields, new scoreboards, new mower, upgrade of maintenance equipment, upgrade of grounds at parks, and other community park improvements and related costs, together with expenses incidental thereto, including all expenses permitted by Indiana Code 36-10-3-24 and all expenses incurred in connection with or on account of the issuance of the Bonds.
