PUBLIC NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to the Charter of the City of Elmira, New York, the Council of the City of Elmira, New York hereby designates the first-floor conference room of the Steele Memorial Library, 101 East Church Street, Elmira, New York as a convenient and central place in the City in which shall be held an election on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The purpose of the election is to elect one (1) Water Commissioner, who will be elected for a period of five (5) years, with a term expiring June, of 2031. The polling place shall be open between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (EDT) and that all resident taxpayers of the City of Elmira of the age of eighteen and over, WHOSE NAMES APPEAR ON THE ASSESSMENT ROLL, made by the Assessor of the City of Elmira, next preceding said election, shall be entitled to vote.   Christina C.
