The Parish of Caddo hereby announces that it has received a request to sell its tax title interest in certain properties due to unpaid taxes. An opening of sealed bids for the purchase of these properties will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, on the first floor of the Government Plaza Building at 505 Travis Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. No minimum bid is set, and the property shall be sold to the highest bidder. All potential bidders must submit their sealed bid accompanied by the mandatory bid form, which can be obtained from the Parish Office or downloaded from www.caddo.gov. The bid form must be completed in full, including a signature and date on page two. All bids must be received at the Parish of Caddo Adjudicated Property/Permits Office, located on the 8th floor of the Government Plaza Building at 505 Travis Street, or mailed to Caddo Parish Public Works, Attention: Adjudicated Property, P. O. Box 1127, Shreveport, Louisiana 71163-1127. All bids sent by mail or commercial courier must be enclosed in a separate individual envelope. No fax, telephone, or any other form of electronic submission of a bid will be accepted.
NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 9:00 AM ON THE DATE OF THE SALE.
Any person desiring to submit a bid for purchase of tax title to adjudicated property as provided above shall: (1) Submit in a sealed envelope a completed and signed adjudicated property bid form and certified funds (cashier’s check or money order made payable to the Parish of Caddo) for the amount of the bid and estimated expenses of the sale (except for the original applicant who only shall include the amount of the bid). (2) Write the bidder’s name, address, telephone number, and the Assessor’s Geographical Number for the subject property on the outside of the sealed envelope. The bid amount shall not be written on the outside of the envelope. Any sealed envelope on which the bid amount is written or otherwise indicated shall be returned to the bidder unopened. (3) Deliver the sealed envelope by hand, mail, commercial courier, or other means to the Caddo Parish Department of Public Works at the address provided on the adjudicated property bid form by the date and time in the published notice. Bidders are responsible for the timely and correct submission of their bids. Submissions received after that date and time shall be returned unopened to the address on the outside of the envelope. The high bidder of any property with an active demolition order must sign a notice of acknowledgment before proceeding with notification.
