ORDINANCE [To Authorize the Mayor to Enter into a Lease Agreement with the American Legion Post No. 122 for the Property Located at 498 Doster Road.] WHEREAS, the existing lease agreement between the City of Prattville and the American Legion Post No. 122 for the property located at 498 Doster Road and described in "Attachment A", expired on June 1, 2025; and WHEREAS, said lease agreement provided for the option to renew the lease at the end of the term for one (1) additional three-year term; and WHEREAS, the American Legion Post No. 122 did request the application of said extension; and WHEREAS, the American Legion Post No. 122 desires to enter into an extended new lease agreement for said property for a term of ten (10) years; and WHEREAS, the lease term for said lease agreement shall commence on June 1, 2028 and end on May 30, 2038; and WHEREAS, the lease amount for said lease agreement shall be $1,000.00 per year; and WHEREAS, said lease agreement provides for the option to renew the lease at the end of the term for one (1) additional ten-year term. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Prattville, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into said lease agreement between the City of Prattville and the American Legion Post No. 122 for the property located at 498 Doster Road, and described in "Attachment A". BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City Council does hereby authorize the Mayor to execute any and all documents necessary to carry out the intent of this Ordinance. ADOPTED THIS 19TH DAY OF MAY, 2026. Thus 275 feet, more or less, to the right of way of Doster Road, thence South along Doster Road 250 feet, thence West 275 feet, more or less, to Autauga Creek, thence North 250 feet, more or less, to point of beginning.
