NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BID
Competitive sealed bids will be received by the City of Raton, for Phase I- Raton R X R Depot Shell Remediation.
Phase I is focused on shell and structural remediation on the 1903 Raton R X R Depot., as well as maintaining current Amtrak functions (two trains/day) throughout the construction period. Construction includes site concrete and utility connections including a new basement stair and a backflow prevention vault. Demolition will include interior partitions, MPE lines and finishes on the main depot and basement, plus removal of existing roof coverings and flashings. Window and door renovation includes removal of sash for refinishing and re-glazing, as required, with eight (8) openings requiring new frames or some remediation. Mechanical system is a forced air with a remote compressor, the electrical system is a 400 AMP service. Bids will reflect individual amounts for the eight (8) primary work groups: 1) Site Concrete; 2) Demolition; 3) Re-roofing/Flashing & Sheet Metal; 4) Storm System Connections; 5) Window/Door Remediation; 60 Mechanical/Plumbing/Electrical; 7) Insulation and 8) Finishes. Provide a separate price for Division 1: Mobilization, O & P.
Sealed bids will be received by the Chief Procurement Officer at 224 Savage Avenue (Physical Delivery/UPS/Fed Ex) or P.O. Box 910 (USPS Mailed Delivery), Raton, NM 87740, until 2:00 PM, July 9, 2026, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids received past this time will be disregarded. Complete sets of the bidding documents may be obtained at the office of the Architect/Engineer Lloyd & Associates Architects, 740 ST. Micheals Drive, Suite 4A, Santa Fe, NM 87505 or by phoning (505) 988-9789. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted at 1:00 PM on June 11th at the project site.
