NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Chestnuthill Township will received sealed bids online for “2026 Road Paving” on various roads located within the township until 10:00 AM, on Thursday July 2, 2026 at which time they will be opened and posted on PennBid shortly thereafter. Sealed bids shall be submitted electronically via the PennBid Program. All document and solicitation details are available online at no cost at PennBid – www.pennbid.bonfirehub.com. The project consists of the following:
“In Place Paving” on various roads located in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County can include up to:
10,347 Tons of 9.5mm Superpave, WMA 180 lb/sy Wearing Course
45,579 LF 4” Double Yellow Center Line with Glass Beads
8,724 LF 4” White Edge Lines with Glass Beads
All materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders may be either a PENNDOT prequalified Prime or Sub Contractor and must supply proof of prequalification.

All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Chestnuthill Township.
The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract and a certificate of liability insurance acceptable to the municipality prior to the start of any work.
The bids will be presented to the Board of Supervisors at the regular scheduled meeting of the Chestnuthill Township Board of Supervisors on Tuesday July 7, 2026 at approximately 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows.
The Chestnuthill Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Township.
PA Prevailing Wages apply to the “In Place Paving” contract.
